(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has downgraded the winter storm watch for central Minnesota to a winter weather advisory.

The advisory is in place from noon today to 6:00 a.m. Friday.

The snow will start late Thursday morning and move eastward, but the heaviest totals will be in far western and southeast Minnesota, where a winter storm warning is in effect. We are still expecting anywhere from two to four inches of snow in central Minnesota.

The roads may become slick at times. Find the latest road conditions by clicking here.

The system moving in behind this one will arrive this weekend and is expected to be similar in track and snowfall amounts.
