(KNSI) – The third annual Minnesota Warriors Hockey Showcase raised a record $35,335 to help wounded and disabled veterans.

The Blattner Hockey team, made up of players from the company, faced off against the St. Cloud Warriors, who are all former service members. Team Blattner lost 7-3.

According to the company, the game is the Warriors’ largest fundraising event of the year. Money was raised through corporate donations, free will offerings at the door, raffle ticket sales and activities. Forty-three local businesses donated to the event.

The Warriors will use part of the funds to help pay for ice time and travel expenses throughout the year.

The game was played on Saturday at the Bernick’s Arena at the Scheels Atheltic Complex in Sartell.
