(KNSI) – CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital is being bathed in blue light and giving away free test kits in honor of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month. During March, the hospital will be lit up blue to bring awareness to the deadly disease.
Health officials say colon and rectal cancer are leading causes of cancer-related death despite being one of the most preventable. Regular screening should start at age 45 or sooner, with a family history of cancer.
CentraCare also offers free immunochemical fecal occult blood tests (iFOBT) Take-Home Colon Screening kits. Find out more about the kits by clicking here.
