(KNSI) – Waite Park is set to lift its snow emergency declaration early.

Street parking restrictions went into effect Wednesday at noon and were initially put in place until 7:00 a.m. Saturday. Instead, they will be rescinded at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd. That will allow street parking to resume except in the overnight hours between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Mayor Rick Miller thanked residents for their cooperation in a statement announcing the end of the emergency. Waite Park received roughly a foot of snow between Tuesday and Thursday, which is at the lower end of storm total predictions from earlier this week.
