(KNSI) – It’s National Margarita Day and The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park knows how to make a splash.
The venue just announced this week that one of the GREAT Theatre’s shows in 2023 will be Jimmy Buffett’s Escape To Margaritaville. The performance is known as a jukebox musical because it features popular radio singles rather than original songs written for the stage.
It first debuted in 2017 in San Diego, California, telling the story of a bartender who develops a crush on a tourist who can’t quite leave the distractions of her job behind. The two-act play features nearly two dozen Jimmy Buffett tunes, including ‘Margaritaville’ and ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise.’
It’s enough to turn you into a parrothead. You can escape to Margaritaville from July 18th to the 20th.
