(KNSI) – St. Cloud Technical and Community College’s farming program reaches a milestone.
The school is one of only seven locations to offer the Minnesota State Farm Business Management program, which turns 70 this year. Faculty works with farm owners directly rather than in a traditional classroom. There are a few required seminars on campus but the rest of the work occurs out in the field.
The program teaches basic business concepts, explores how best to use your land whether you raise animals or crops, and gives you access to a database to compare your operations to similar farms across the state. SCTCC says the degree is helpful for small family farms or corporate agriculture.
If you plan on attending a special event commemorating FBM’s 70th anniversary on Monday, September 11th, email agcentric@gmail.com or call 218-894-5141.
