(KNSI) — Just when we were ready to say, “This winter hasn’t been so bad,” Minnesota could be in line for a snowstorm next week.
According to a tweet from the National Weather Service, enjoy the weekend because we’ve got potential for another snowmaker next week, and this is one to keep eyes on, especially if you have travel plans. Confidence is increasing for accumulating snow, but this is Minnesota, so take it with a grain of road salt.
Forecasters say a strong, large, slow-moving storm will bring several chances for accumulating snow next week to the Upper Midwest. Travel impacts are most likely from Tuesday night through Thursday. However, the storm is still nearly a week away, so exact timing, track and snowfall amounts are still literally up in the air. The models agree there is a set up for long duration accumulating snow.
