(KNSI) — The City of St. Cloud is asking residents for their help to serve on one of its committees.
Mayor Dave Kleis made the plea during his weekly address. “I’m sitting here in city hall in the people’s house in the council chambers at the dyess where you could have a seat if you’re willing to serve on one of our 21 boards and commissions throughout the city.”
He says it takes around 120 people to help guide the city’s decisions. There are openings on planning and zoning, park and recreation, the library board, Whitney Senior Center, the Economic Development Authority, Housing Redevelopment Authority, Human Rights Commission and more. “You can help with the advisory and the decision making process for the city of St. Cloud. Your commitment and your service to our community is greatly appreciated.”
Kleis says interested residents can fill out applications online to any of the boards and commissions. People can also see what spots are open when there might be an opportunity if a board is full.
