Youth Center in Big Lake Burglarized

(KNSI) – A building serving middle and high school kids in Big Lake was the site of a burglary over the weekend.

Police were called to the WAVE Youth Center around 4:15 on Monday morning. Investigators say a worker found a door that appeared to have been left unlocked. Officers checked the inside and did not find any suspects. Officials say the burglary occurred sometime between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning.

Police say several things were stolen, including the video surveillance system and other electronic items. Investigators are working with surrounding businesses to get any video surveillance or information.

If anyone has any information on the break-in, they’re asked to call the police department at 763-251-2992.
