(KNSI) — The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is helping save lives outside of the state with a generous donation.

Sheriff Steve Soyka and Chief Deputy Dan Miller recently donated 25 automatic external defibrillators and ten vehicle radios to the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma.

The Muskogee County sheriff thanked the department for the donation. They will go in their patrol vehicles and help at the jail.

The critical use of AEDs has been thrust into the spotlight following the use of one that helped save Buffalo Bills’ Safety Damar Hamlin after he went into cardiac arrest following a hit during a football game this season.
