(KNSI) — It’s going to be a flashback to the ’90s this summer with Barenaked Ladies, Semisonic and Del Amitri playing at the Ledge Amphitheater on June 9th.
A special presale is set for Thursday, February 2nd, at 10:00 a.m., through Ticketmaster with the promo code BARELEDGE. The general public on sale is Friday, February 3rd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available online or at the Ledge Amphitheatre winter box office, located inside the Department of Public Works building, 670 17th Avenue South. The box office is open Friday until 2:00 p.m.
Canada-based Barenaked Ladies formed in Toronto in 1988 and had hits through the 90s, such as “One Week,” “If I Had $1000000,” and “Pinch Me.”
Semisonic got its start in Minneapolis and hit it big with their 1998 album Feeling Strangely Fine, which featured their biggest hit single to date, “Closing Time.”
Del Amitri has been together since forming in Scotland in 1980. Big in the UK and Europe, they hit the U.S. Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40 in 1989 with the single “Kiss This Thing Goodbye” off the album Waking Hours. Their following albums, Change Everything and Twisted, put them squarely in the mainstream with several hits, including “Always the Last to Know” and “Roll to Me.”
New West Presentations, which helps book concerts at the venue, says it expects between 15 and 22 shows this year. Five contracts have been signed and confirmed as of January 30th.
