(KNSI) – The Paramount Center for the Arts has three exciting shows scheduled in February.
Dragons and Mythical Beasts takes the stage on Saturday, the 18th, at 3:00 p.m. It’s produced by the same team behind Dinosaur World Live. Brave heroes will need to stand tall against the colossal Stone Troll, a tooth fairy that’s different from any story you’ve ever been told, even unicorns and griffins.
A Gospel act so influential it has impacted music and entertainment for 80 years is coming to our backyard. The Blind Boys of Alabama will be here February 24th. The group began singing in the 1930’s and toured during the Jim Crow South. In the 80’s, it found success in plays. And in between it amassed five Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement nod. The group is in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has performed for three different U.S. presidents. The “Boys” continue to make new music, reinventing the genre to this day. Tickets start at $25.
On the 25th, it’s Central Minnesota Idol, a fundraiser for the youth chorale. Audience members vote on their favorite performances through donations to the nonprofit organization.
You can purchase tickets for any of the shows here.
