(KNSI) – Stearns County wants your opinion on how it should invest in its parks and recreational trails for the next ten to twenty years.
The ten-month process to develop a Master Plan starts with the survey. Officials from Stearns County want residents, visitors, and business owners to help the county plan for the future. Stearns County has 19 unique park and trail facilities, ranging from boat landings to regional and local trails to regional parks.
The recreation areas include the Dairyland Trail, Lake Koronis Regional Park, Kraemer Lake Park, Warner Lake County Park, Mississippi River County Park, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, Spring Hill County Park, the Lake Wobegon Trail, and more.
According to officials, Stearns County is home to 160,000 residents in 30 cities and 34 townships. The County’s parks and trails cater to users from across the region.
