(KNSI) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation Wednesday announced the finalists for its Name a Snowplow contest.
From 10,000 entries, officials narrowed it down to 60.
Some of them are familiar names, such as Mary Tyler Moore Snow, SKOL Plow, and Spirit of ’91. Name spoofs are also on the list, including Clark Blizzwald, Sleetwood Mac, Taylor Drift, Queen El-ice-abeth II and Alice Scooper. Voters can also choose from names of celebrities with Minnesota ties, like Bobsled Dylan, Blizzo, Plowie Anderson, and Paisley Plow, a nod to Prince’s famed Paisley Park. Regular punny names include Blader Tot Hotdish, I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered, For Cold Times Sake, Plower to the People, and Orange You Glad to See Me.
The public can pick up to eight names. Voting closes before midnight on February 3rd, with the winners announced later next month.
