(KNSI) – Lori Kloos has been named the permanent president at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

She took over on an interim basis last year, replacing Annesa Cheek. The Wednesday announcement was made by the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. It is effective immediately.

Kloos is a long-time administrator at SCTCC, having served as vice president and chief financial officer for 22 years. She has been interim or acting president three times, including 2005, 2017, and 2022.

Chancellor of Minnesota State Devinder Malhotra says Kloos bring stability. He notes, “She is well regarded and well connected with the greater St. Cloud community and the greater region and has been a critical member of the administration at St. Cloud Technical & Community College for over two decades.”

The school was opened in 1948 when it became Minnesota’s second-ever technical college.
