(KNSI) — Hockey Day Minnesota festivities are coming up this week, and St. Cloud State University’s Husky Productions will again participate in a Hockey Day Minnesota broadcast.
The https://hockeydaymn.com/official four-day event will be held in White Bear Lake this year, with everything kicking off on Thursday, January 26th. Several hockey games will take place throughout the celebrations, including the St. Cloud State and Bemidji State women’s game at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28th, from the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
The game will be aired on Bally Sports North Extra.
“It’s a great honor to be involved in Hockey Day Minnesota again,” said Brian Stanley ’93, who has been Executive Producer of Husky Productions since 2012 and will once again handle the game production from their control room in Stewart Hall on campus.
Husky Productions is an entirely student run organization celebrating its 30th year of broadcasting St. Cloud State hockey this season.
“Bally Sports North’s Hockey Day Minnesota is a celebration of all things hockey in the state of hockey. St. Cloud State hockey and the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center are essential parts of hockey in Minnesota,” Stanley added.
St. Cloud State alumnus Nick Maxon ’22 and former St. Cloud State goaltender Julie Friend ’15 will be on play-by-play duties during the broadcast alongside ice-side reporter Brook Purowitz and in-studio host Ryan McNamara rounding out the on-air crew.
