(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Fair is still months away, but the board has approved price increases for this year’s Great Minnesota Get Together.
Regular gate admission for 13 to 64-year-olds is $18, kids between five and 12 and seniors over 65 are $16. Kids four and under still get in for free. The price increase is $1 more than the 2022 state fair. Tickets online can be bought ahead of time for $14 through January 31st, but the price goes to $15 after that. Tickets can be printed at home or received through mobile delivery for free. Tickets can also be delivered via snail mail at an additional cost.
On-site parking for cars and trucks is $20. On-site motorcycle parking is $15.
State Fair CEO Jerry Hammer cited rising costs in fair production, public safety, facilities upkeep and other services such as the free Park & Ride system as reasons for the increase. “We work hard to provide an amazing experience for everyone, and it takes a lot of effort and expenses to do that.”
The Minnesota State Fair runs from August 24th through Labor Day.
