(KNSI) — St. Cloud State University will have several events to tie in with the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The programming begins on January 23rd. For three consecutive Mondays, the Atwood Memorial Center Theatre will show an exclusive screening of the Ken Burns documentary The U.S. and the Holocaust. The airings are from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A lecture hosted by the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education is set for February 9th.

The lecture features two speakers, including Rebecca Erbelding, an archivist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. It is scheduled for the Miller Center Library Auditorium. A link to buy tickets is here.

Holocaust Remembrance Day is January 27th, marking the day in 1945 the last of the 7,000 prisoners inside Auschwitz were set free.
