(KNSI) – Minnesotans have one more chance to get four free at-home rapid COVID-19 test kits.
The Minnesota Department of Health says this will be the last chance for Minnesotans to get the free tests before the program ends. The kits are available through the state’s online ordering program.
Minnesotans can also place orders through the Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 Public Hotline at 1-833-431-2053 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Due to federal action, the cost of over-the-counter at-home COVID-19 tests is now covered by most insurance. People should check with their health plan before buying at-home tests to ensure they are covered.
Since Minnesota’s free test program began in April 2022, more than 2.5 million tests have been delivered.
