Isanti Man Charged After Allegedly Meeting Underage Girl for Sex

(KNSI) — An Isanti man is facing charges after allegedly having sex with an underage girl he met online.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim is under the age of 14. She told officers she met a man she thought was 30 years old on an anonymous dating app and then continued to communicate with him via Snapchat. She said the two met up on three occasions in October and November. Investigators say the man is 41-year-old Timothy Allan Henke.

The girl says she and Henke first met in the parking lot of a business in Sartell before going to a hotel for sex. The second time the two met up in a different parking lot, where they had sex in his car. At that point, the girl told him she was younger than he thought, but he “continued to want a sexual relationship.” She said they met up a third time, again in Sartell, and had sex.

In a sworn statement on December 28th, Henke admitted to meeting the girl on the app and communicating via Snapchat but thought she was 19. He also denied meeting her in person. The criminal complaint says a search of Henke’s Snapchat information and GPS data showed him in the areas where the teen said they were on the dates she gave investigators.

Henke is charged with three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
