(KNSI) – Beaver Island Brewing Company is turning eight years old.
Co-founder Nick Barth says it’s been a wild ride, requiring adjustments along the way.
“It’s pretty amazing that we’ve been able to kind of carve out a niche in St. Cloud throughout all of the trials and tribulations, including but not limited to COVID-19. So as our hard tea and lemonade brand called Nice’d continues to grow, we’re continuing to focus on the Beaver Island brand as well and seeing that to its true potential.”
The party starts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7th. Those in attendance will have a chance to win prizes and scarf down birthday cake. Barth says he has known the singer that will be performing, Aksel Krafnick, for years. He says he has a soft spot for “the Ax man” and celebrating Beaver Island’s success with Krafnick will be a treat.
“My wife actually years ago, for one of my birthdays, rewrote a song with Aksel Krafnick and played it for me in front of an audience for a surprise birthday party. So, I’m always pleased when we can have Aksel Krafnick in the tap room.”
The party is at the brewing company’s downtown St. Cloud location, at 216 6th Avenue South. The party will run until 7:00 p.m.
