(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol has released crash totals following our most recent dumping of snow.

From 9:00 p.m. Tuesday through 11:30 a.m. Friday statewide, the state patrol responded to 488 crashes, 33 with injuries, 768 spinouts and 44 jackknifed semis. There were no fatal crashes.

At least three of those crashes were in central Minnesota.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s office, at about 9:15 Thursday morning, a semi-trailer slid into the ditch and rolled on its side on County Road 10 in Albany Township. The 25-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Crash investigators say heavy snow was falling at the time and believe weather conditions played a factor in the crash.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just after 10:00 Thursday night, a 32-year-old St. Cloud woman was driving south on Highway 23 in Waite Park when she slid off the road into the ditch and hit a utility pole. She was not seriously injured.

Another crash happened around 5:15 Friday morning when a Buick LeSabre driven by a 71-year-old Clearwater man and a semi-truck driven by a 35-year-old man from Louisiana collided on westbound Interstate 94 at mile marker 174 in Lynden Township. The 71-year-old man was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.

The National Weather Service says preliminary totals from Tuesday through 6:00 a.m. Friday shows St. Cloud received 12.4″ of snow.
