(KNSI) – The second weekly Downtown Night Market starts at 4:00 p.m., immersing West St. Germain Street in the sounds of the holidays.
Director of Downtown Planning and Development Tyler Bevier says the market includes holiday shopping, dining, deals, and even Christmas music playing. This week it will coincide with the 10th annual Weihnachtsmarkt, which is set up at the River’s Edge Convention Center Parking Ramp.
The 10th edition of the fan-favorite German market gets underway at 5:00 and will have dozens of vendors, along with offerings from Beaver Island Brewing Company, food, and spiced gluhwein. Less than a block away at the hall’s plaza, Mayor Dave Kleis will welcome guests to help ring in the season with the lighting of the city Christmas tree.
A concert from the Minnesota Center Chorale will prep attendees for a dazzling display of bulbs of all colors. It will all come together along with fresh snowfall to create a winter wonderland.
