(KNSI) – Stearns County is looking to add members to 16 different boards and committees.
The figure includes at least four positions on the Human Services Advisory Committee. It needs a District 2 representative, an at-large representative, an at-large education representative, and student representatives.
Members are appointed to three-year terms. The committee advises the Stearns County Human Services Board, which oversees mental health, public health, and social services, along with children’s health programs.
The Stearns County Park Commission is another board looking for new members. The body meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month and needs representatives from Districts 2 and 3, covering Avon and St. Joseph up towards St. Stephen.
The Park Commission oversees recreational and wildlife areas, along with crafting the county’s master plan. The department recently held the Family Fall Fling at Quarry Park on October 15th.
