(KNSI) – Sartell-St. Stephen Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Ridlehoover is a finalist for the same post with the largest school district in Minnesota.
The Anoka-Hennepin School District announced Ridlehoover is one of the top two candidates to fill its vacant superintendent position. Ridlehover will have his final interview on December 6th, consisting of a day-long series of focus groups with students, paraeducators, teachers, principals, administrators, cabinet members and other district staff following a tour of the district. Members of the public are invited to meet with the candidates and offer their thoughts. That will be followed by a second interview session at 7:15 p.m.
Cory McIntyre with the Osseo School District in Maple Grove is the other finalist. His interview will be on December 7th, after which the Anoka-Hennepin School Board will hold a special meeting to review feedback.
The district will make its decision and offer a contract at a later date. The new Superintendent would begin their term on July 1st.
Dr. Ridlehoover was hired as District 748’s Superintendent in March 2021. He was the assistant superintendent and principal for the Mounds View School District for eight years before coming to central Minnesota and spent nine years as assistant principal at Wayzata High School. Ridlehoover began his time in school administration as an intern at Oak View Middle School in the Anoka-Hennepin School District in 2003. He is also an adjunct professor of education at Hamline University.
McIntyre spent three years at Anoka-Hennepin as assistant superintendent and director of student support services. He came to the district in 2016 after serving as the director of student services in North St. Paul – Maplewood – Oakdale School District for three years.
