Basketball “Ass”ociation Takes Court In Holdingford

(KNSI) – Dr. Bray. The Muleman. Big Shot Burro.

There will be plenty of new nicknames coined along with the belting out of a “hee-haw” or two at Holdingford High School Friday night thanks to donkey basketball.

Four squads consisting of community members, the school board, students, and teachers will trade back cuts for back kicks as they take to the court atop jacks and jennies for an unforgettable series of hardwood matchups. Proceeds go to the Just For Kix dance team so it can compete in the Reliaquest Bowl in Florida.

Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. The early-bird tickets must be purchased by Wednesday. They can be found at the Holdingford Elementary and High School offices, Martini Auto Parts, and Rudolph’s Redneck Roost.

All of the action tips off at 7:30 p.m. inside the gymnasium.
