(KNSI) — The Stearns County courthouse celebrates a century as a staple of the downtown St. Cloud skyline.

The centennial is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy bingo, live music, a scavenger hunt, and trivia. Exploration is encouraged too.

Tours are planned to show off where the Disney movie Mighty Ducks was filmed, the location of a bullet hole left by a shooting inside the courtroom, and the majestic clocks near the top of the building.

The county is asking residents to email their fondest memories of the building. They could be incorporated into the event. Additionally, there are plenty of games and family activities planned.

The Sheriff’s Department will be active, holding drone demonstrations and giveaways for kids. Squad cars spanning the decades will be on display along with other gadgets used by deputies every day. There will also be a photo opportunity with the department’s K-9 officers.
