(KNSI) – Children in Stearns County are invited again to come up with a greeting card for the sheriff’s office.

The department is holding its second Annual Holiday Greeting Card Design Contest. Sheriff Steve Soyka says kids 12 and under who live in the county can help deputies by creating a picture for the front of their greeting card. All cards must feature original artwork. For example, the image can include winter activities with sheriff’s deputies, the official badge, a squad car or a department K9 officer.

Submitted by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office

The minimum size is 5″ by 7″ and the maximum size is 8.5″ by 11,” and both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted.

According to the sheriff’s office, the cards are meant to engage children with law enforcement in a fun and creative way, show off their artistic talents and give kids a chance to win a prize. The sheriff’s office will mail the cards to other agencies, sponsors, and officials.

One Grand Prize Winner will selected to have their design featured on the front cover of the official 2022 Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Greeting Card and a $20 Amazon gift card.

The deadline to submit artwork, either in person, by mail or email, is November 28th. A panel of Stearns County Sheriff’s Office employees will select the winning entries. Winners will be announced publicly in the last week of November.

Submission can be dropped off at the sheriff’s office or mailed to:
