(KNSI) – Among the races on the ballot Tuesday were local county races.

In Benton County, Christine Scherbing beat Sean Gitch for Auditor/Treasurer. Nadean Inman held the office. Inman agreed not to run again after it was discovered she did not live in Benton County. In the Soil and Water Conservation District 3, incumbent Jacob Scherer lost his seat to challenger Mike Winkelman 61.3% to 38.10%.

In the Sherburne County Commissioner’s race, Andrew Hulse beat incumbent Barbara Burant for District 1 52.43% to 47.11%. Commissioner District 2 incumbent Raeanne Danielowski hangs on to her seat 56.58% to 42.95%. In Commissioner District 3, Gregg Felber narrowly defeated Mark Swanson 49.78% to 49.07%. In Commissioner District 4, voters chose Gary Gray 52.42% over Jerome (Lefty) Kleis, who garnered 47.39% of the votes. Diane Arnold wins the Auditor/Treasurer’s office over Chad Westberg 60.93% to 38.71%.

In Stearns County, there were no races in Commissioner Districts 1, 2, and 5, so Tarryl Clark, Joe Perske and Steven Notch will return. In Commissioner District 3, Jeff Bertram was declared the winner over Barry Belknap 67.29% to 32.36%. Jeff Mergen held the seat. Commissioner District 4, Leigh Lenzmeier, hung on to his seat over challenger Lana Feddema from 52.46% to 46.94%.
