(KNSI) – Tim Johnson of Sauk Rapids, currently an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University, was a big winner on Monday’s Wheel of Fortune episode.

The popular game show is celebrating Veteran’s Week. Johnson is a former Air Force member. He dominated the traditional puzzles, winning three of four on the show. He successfully solved “Planes, Parachutes, and Paratroopers” in the first round. The winning continued for Johnson in the second segment when he got “Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.” Johnson rolled through the third puzzle, which was “sailing a catamaran.” He did so with the express wedge, which got him a Caribbean vacation. The last round went to Wes Gyorko of West Virginia. He was first to solve “We Have Liftoff.”

Johnson also got one of the five toss-ups. He solved “Sticky Fingers.” The other contestants guessed “Leading By Example”, “Norfolk, Virginia”, “Sparkling Eyes”, and “Strong Arms.”

Johnson was unable to capitalize in the bonus round, however, failing to guess “Private Driveway” which was clued as “Place.” Johnson’s winnings totaled $39,750 along with the Caribbean vacation.
