(KNSI) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is having a meet and greet for possible solution concepts and provide feedback for future safety and access needs along the Highway 10 corridor from 15th Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud and Highway 24 in Clear Lake.

The meet and greet is set for Haven Town Hall on Wednesday, November 9th. According to the project website, MnDOT says the study will analyze current and future demographics, land use, development, maintenance operations, road and drainage conditions, safety data, and public feedback to support recommended improvements. Officials say they aim to develop a safe, efficient, and accessible highway for all users with destinations along, across, or through that area.

They have already been made aware of issues from drivers and users, such as a lack of acceleration lanes, narrow shoulders, short turn lanes, frequent traffic jams, especially in the summer months, slick spots in the winter, and trains causing backups and blockages.

The meet and greet is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
