(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post #2250 has been named the 2022 Law Enforcement Team of the Year.

The award was given by the Greater St. Cloud Public Safety Foundation. The foundation says the explorer program is made of hard-working advisors, and without them, it wouldn’t be possible. The Explorer Program has existed since 1976 and teaches youth ages 15-21 about public safety careers.

The award was presented at the First Responder Appreciation Dinner. Accepting the award on behalf of the Explorers was Captain Emma Brown.
