(KNSI) — Minnesota’s Republican Party hosted a series of Get Out the Vote rallies, including a stop in St. Cloud.
The rallies were part of the Greater Minnesota Fly-Around Tour and featured candidate for governor Dr. Scott Jensen, lieutenant governor candidate Matt Birk, and Minnesota GOP chairman David Hann. Party leaders say the focus is on crime, improving reading levels for students, and dealing with inflation in local economies.
“In a regional hub like St. Cloud that values education at all levels, we heard from many today that are concerned with the rapidly decreasing student achievement in Minnesota schools,” said Dr. Jensen. “While we once were a national leader, recent reports indicate Minnesota’s students are performing at their worst levels in three decades, with our students even lagging behind Mississippi in reading. Something needs to change, and when we’re elected on November 8th, we’ll once again make Minnesota the shining star of the north in education.”
“From growing the paychecks of Minnesota families to restoring safety to our streets, on November 8th we will Heal Minnesota,” concluded Birk.
Election Day is November 8th, and early voting is already underway.
