(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University’s Library has a new offering to cater to student parents.

A Student Parent Study Room has opened on the first floor of the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center. The area allows student parents to bring their children while they do their coursework.

The room has a wall-mounted monitor, computer workstation, HDMI connection for personal laptops, webcam, wired and wireless network connectivity and printer. It also includes a whiteboard with markers and an eraser.

For kids, the room has toys, games, puzzles, coloring books with crayons, markers, colored pencils and books. It also has essential items like a portable crib, baby chair, clean-up supplies and more.

The study room is available to be scheduled for four-hour blocks up to 28 days in advance. Up to 10 people can be in the space at a time.

The library will host an Open House to tour the new Student Parent Study Room on Tuesday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
