(KNSI) – Work on the St. Cloud Veterans Bridge is stretching into this week.
Crews will be making repairs on Tuesday and Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The project will temporarily restrict traffic to one lane in each direction.
Recently, vehicles heading west were pushed onto one of the eastbound lanes with temporary cones leaving the northern half of the bridge clear for workers.
The lane closures are between Riverside Drive Northeast and 5th Avenue North. Veterans Bridge crosses the Mississippi River on the northern edge of downtown.
Delays are possible. If you are seeking a detour, there is a bridge at Highway 23 about three blocks to the south. Crossings also exist at University Drive near the campus of Saint Cloud State or from downtown Sauk Rapids into northern St. Cloud.
