(KNSI) — Next month, the Diocese of St. Cloud will celebrate a Mass to honor healthcare professionals.

Bishop Donald Kettler will say Mass on Sunday, November 6th, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown St. Cloud. The Mass is for doctors, nurses, and others in the medical field to recognize their commitment to their faith and work. There will be a special blessing of the hands for the caring outreach of healthcare professionals. The Mass is open to workers from all faiths and their families, friends, and spouses.

A press release from the Diocese explains, “In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we know the essential importance of health care professionals and the care they give to our society, our Church and our people,” Bishop Kettler said. “This Mass is a way to give thanks to God and to them – for what they do and who they are.”
