(KNSI) – The Kids and Parents Expo is this Saturday at the River’s Edge Convention Center.

Fun activities for the whole family are scheduled and children in attendance can get Halloween off to a splendid start, taking home a basket of candy well before the Monday holiday. Kat from 104.7 KLCD’s Playhouse is one of the hosts. She says you can get dressed up and into the spirit with lots of treats and no tricks.

“We’re going to have regular lights on. It’s not spooky. It’s fun and each vendor is going to have candy to give out, so it’s gonna be fun to see their little parade of costumes.”

A special trick-or-treating hour is set for the end of the event. Doors open at 9:30, though, so it isn’t all about the holiday. Kat says parents will get a chance to meet representatives from several businesses and organizations.

“Check out all the vendors too, because they’re there not just for a Halloween-themed day but it’s the Kids and Parents Expo, so they’ll help you out with anything you need in life.”

Laser tag, balloon twister, a crazy hair contest, bounce house and more are just some of the different activities that ensure every member of your family will have a good time.

Kids under 12 are free. Tickets are 10 dollars for teens and adults.
