(KNSI) – As part of October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness month, KNSI sister station 104.7 KCLD is tending for a cause to help the Anna Marie’s Alliance battered women’s shelter.
Kat from the KCLD Morning Playhouse will be behind the bar at the Beaver Island Brewing Company taproom in St. Cloud tonight. Part of the proceeds will go to the shelter, but there’s more.
She explains, “If you throw a bonus tip in, anything that ends up in one of the beer jugs that will be out on the counter we’ll go to that as well.”
The money raised would help residents of the shelter enjoy their holidays during a trying time.
“We’re going to be raising money to ‘fund the feast’ at Beaver Island and we want to make just the most over-the-top, amazingly delicious Thanksgiving meal for the residents and the workers at Anna Marie’s Alliance.”
The event is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Beaver Island Brewing is located just south of Highway 23 on 6th Avenue near Toppers Pizza.
