Girls Soccer
Sartell 3, Moorhead 0: The Spuds came into the Section 8AAA quarterfinal eying an upset, but the Sabres controlled the matchup. Senior Reese Geiger broke the ice in the 32nd minute with the decisive goal. Reese Kloetzer notched a pair of scores in the second stanza. The shutout was the 12th of the season for Sartell. The Sabres host 5th seeded Buffalo in the next round Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
East Grand Forks 8, St. Cloud Apollo 0: The Eagles were grounded in the Section 8AA contest, and will bow out of the playoffs thanks to three Green Wave players with two goals each. Apollo managed only two shots on net.
Alexandria 10, ROCORI 0: Allie Haabala, Ella Westlund, Morgan Jones, and Sophia Korynta all had two goals apiece for Alex.
