(KNSI) — Luke Michael Graditi was sentenced to 21 months in prison Monday for fleeing the scene of a crash that left two people seriously hurt.
Graditi was driving a GMC Yukon SUV when he ran a red light at County Road 75 and 33rd Street South in Saint Cloud, hitting a box truck and a Buick Enclave. He ran off, even though there were two passengers in his vehicle who were seriously hurt. He was wanted at the time for warrants in Anoka, Hennepin, Sherburne, and Stearns Counties. Police searched for several hours, but he managed to get away. He was caught over a month later.
Graditi pled guilty in June to one felony count of criminal vehicular operation resulting in substantial bodily harm and leaving the scene of a crash. He has credit for serving 217 days behind bars. He was also ordered to pay $250 in restitution.
As part of the plea deal, other charges were dropped.
