(KNSI) — A woman is expected to be OK after she was pulled from a burning apartment unit Sunday afternoon.
According to a critical incident report from the St. Cloud Fire Department, they were called to a fire at an apartment building on the 600 block of 11th Street South at 2:10. They arrived to find dark black smoke showing from the back side of the building. The smoke appeared to be coming from a first-floor unit.
Crews went in and found the unconscious woman who had suffered minor burns. She was pulled to safety, along with two cats, who are expected to fully recover.
Damage is estimated at $90,000.
St. Cloud Fire Chief Matt Love praised the quick work of the firefighters to get the fire out and get the victim to safety.
