(KNSI) – St. John’s University has announced General Paul Nakasone as the 2022 Eugene J. McCarthy guest lecturer. The speech is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th, at 7 p.m. inside the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater.
Nakasone hails from White Bear, Minnesota. He graduated from the school in 1986 and was commissioned as part of the ROTC program. Nakasone has since advanced to the service branch’s highest rank. He now serves as director of the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command.
The talk will focus on ensuring election security for the midterms and other cyber threats. The lecture is open to the public, but registration is required. A link to sign up is here. All attendees will have to show identification at the door.
