(KNSI) — One of three people accused of trying to smuggle thousands of fentanyl pills to the St. Cloud area has been convicted.

Eric Dodd has pled guilty to one count of first-degree drug possession. As part of the deal, several other charges were dropped.

Prosecutors say the 31-year-old Dodd tried to have 5,600 pills shipped from Arizona to a home in the 1700 block of 7th Avenue South in St. Cloud. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force says the pills were intercepted at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in June.

Two women were also arrested. Their cases are still making their way through the courts.

A sentencing date for Dodd wasn’t immediately set.
