(KNSI) – The public will get its first look at the new Pleasantview Elementary School in Sauk Rapids.
The Sauk Rapids-Rice School District is holding an open house on Saturday. Superintendent Bradley Bergstrom talked about what will take place.
“We’re going to have a grand opening for the public which will be on Saturday, September 24th, happens to be Homecoming weekend. We’re going to do that from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. We’ll have a little ceremony from one until 1:30, and then there will be tours through the building where the public can come in and take a look at it.”
The new 120,000-square-foot facility opened earlier this month. The school was built after voters approved a $37.1 million construction bond. The school replaced an 85,000-square-foot building by the same name.
