(KNSI) – Sartell Police are asking for more information about a loud explosion that was heard around 7:40 Sunday evening.
Officers were sent to 2nd Street South near Theisen Road, where they combed through a grassy area to find a tire and what looked like gunpowder ash sprinkled on and around it. They believe a group of people was trying to start the tire on fire.
Residents nearby say they saw several vehicles fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed, squealing their tires. No one was hurt related to the incident. The case is still under investigation.
