(KNSI) — St. Cloud Area School District 742 Superintendent Dr. Laurie Putnam is hosting her second Coffee and Conversations event Friday.
The first event was held in August. Putnam explains what she took away from that experience.
“We had community members there, we had staff there, we had family members there. Our community identifed some of the same strength and challenges as I see. And to me that’s really exciting, because they echo some of the things that are in our strategic plan. And that helped me know that we are on the right track.”
The first-year superintendent said she’s holding the events because “Communication is a two way street. I want to be able to listen. I don’t want to just be the only person out talking because I don’t have all the answers. I have a direction. I have a vision and I want to hear from families and from staff and from community members because a public school is about its community.”
Putnam is planning to hold a Coffee and Conversation on the third Friday of each month. This month’s Coffee and Conversations will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16th, at the St. Cloud Area School District Administration office. Find a map by clicking here.
