(KNSI) – Bed, Bath, and Beyond is leaving Saint Cloud.
The struggling retailer announced recently that it would soon be closing 150 stores in a last-chance turnaround effort. At the time, the company had promised to release a list of all locations affected at some point in the future, with a first tranche disclosed early Thursday.
Deals promising as much as 30 percent off are already underway as the Second Street South location’s inventory is liquidated. The company sells a wide array of home goods, including items for the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen.
Bed, Bath, and Beyond boasted 65,000 employees across the entire company in 2018. By February 2022, the number had fallen to 32,000 and the new closures will lead to further hemorrhaging. The company’s share price has fluctuated wildly in just the past six weeks. It fell below five dollars per share before rocketing to nearly $30. On Thursday, it settled at $8.79.
