Stearns County Holding Meeting On Changes to Vacation Rental Ordinance

(KNSI) – Stearns County has set a special meeting to discuss changing its vacation rental ordinance.

Eden Lake, Maine Prairie, Munson and Wakefield Townships have moratoriums on vacation rentals on online platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO. Sauk Centre Township has banned vacation rentals outright.

County Administrator Mike Williams spoke to the board on Tuesday morning.

“You held a discussion a while ago and after that discussion you wanted to be able to dedicate a fair amount of time, an hour and a half, if we could find the time. I think the best way to do that is to do that in a special meeting.”

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 4th.
