(KNSI) – Leighton Broadcasting’s KCLD is helping to get Breast Cancer Awareness Month off to a fast start.
The station is sponsoring Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, which will feature the occasionally humorous sight of men donning heels and joining with their families to stroll around the one-mile CentraCare Health Plaza in St. Cloud on October 1st. A lucky participant will win a pair of designer shoes.
The event is for a serious subject. All proceeds raised go to the Coborn Cancer Center at St. Cloud Hospital. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. Speakers will talk about surviving the disease.
