(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will keep doing periodic work on I-94 between Monticello and Hasty through October.
The road remains reduced to two lanes in either direction. State officials say tasks still left to complete include installing a median cable guard rail, removing temporary barriers that were installed during the repaving and expansion phase of the project, laying down sod in the median and giving it time to take hold, plus any other clean-up items.
For those traveling to the Twin Cities, ramp closures are in place beginning late Friday until 9 a.m Sunday. The connector from eastbound I-94 to eastbound I-694, the loop between Weaver Lake Road and eastbound I-94, and the ramp from west I-94 to Hennepin County Road 81 are all affected.
